As you may have noticed from perusing this website, I have a tendency to write a lot…especially when the topic is drumming. Because of this, I have often found myself writing unusually long posts on drumming forums, occasionally the length of a full-blown article! I’ve done the same thing from time to time with emails. Someone will send me a question about drumming, and before you know it, I’ve written a 2-page response! The only problem with this habit is that it’s very time consuming, and the writing that results doesn’t really end up being available to anyone. The forum posts get archived after a few days, and the emails get seen by only one person and then deleted or filed away.

So I’ve decided to create this blog page. From now on, if I suddenly get the urge to write some lengthy treatise on drumming, it won’t be for an online forum or a one-time email. Instead, it will be for my own website, and it will live forever right here on this blog page! I hope that you will find some of the writing here to be helpful and inspiring. Enjoy!
